British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at South Walsham, Norfolk. Son of William Brown, of 18, North Burlingham Green, Norwich. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting on 16th December 1915 at Norwich. He went to France on 18th April 1916 and was transferred to the11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 17th September 1916 and was killed in action, 1st October 1916, age 30, in the attack on the Flers/Le Sars line, France during the Battle of the Somme.
