Husband of Florence Brown, of Main Street, Keyworth, Nottinghamshire.  He was a butcher prior to enlisting 5th June 1917 at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. He went to France on 7th December 1917 and was killed in action, 27th August 1918, during the attack on 3 lines of German trenches, to the west of Oppy, France.
