British War and Victory MedalBorn at Wennington, Huntingdonshire and lived at Wistow, Huntingdonshire. Son of Frederick and Julia A. Brown, of Wistow. He was a hurdle maker prior to enlisting 1st March 1917 at Huntingdon. He went to France on 31st October 1917, was transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 5th November 1917 and was wounded in action, 16th May 1918. He died of these wounds, 17th May 1918, aged 19.
