Born and lived at Ludford, Lincolnshire. Son of William and Jane Eliza Brown, of Ludford. He enlisted at Market Rasen, Lincolnshire and was killed in action, 20th November 1917, aged 39, in the attack on the German positons at Beaucamp, near Ribecourt, France.
