British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire. Son of George and Agnes Brown, of 40, Park Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Mansfield. He went to France 27th August 1915 and was killed in action, 23rd April 1917, age 24, during the attack on the German positions at Bayonet Trench, near Arras, France.
