Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Peterborough, Northamptonshire. Son of Daniel and Harriet Broughton, of Westfield Cottages, Barlborough, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Brimmington, Derbyshire and went to France on 28th February 1915. He was killed in action, on 1st July 1917, age 25, in the attack at Cite St. Theodore, near Lens, France.
