Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Ripley, Derbyshire. Son of Albert and Mary Ann Broughton, of Alexandra Street, Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 22nd February 1918 at Ripley. He went to France on 14th August 1918 and died of wounds, at 50 Field Ambulance, 2nd September 1918, age 23.
