Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of William and Alice Mary Brothwell, of Nottingham. He was a warehouse assistant prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was attached to 178 Trench Mortar Battery and died of wounds 29th September 1917, aged 25.
Buried : Brandhoek New Military Cemetery No.3, Belgium. Plot 1. Row J. Grave 16.
