Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Alfred William and Eliza Brockwell. Husband of Ada A. Brockwell, of 5, Alpine Terrace, Hunt Street, Nottingham. He was a compositor prior to enlisting on 5th September 1914.   He was transferred to the Labour Corps (165866), 28th April 1917.  He was injured in an accident at Buckminster Aerodrome, Lincolnshire, where he fell from a hangar roof. He died, 20th March 1918, age 36, at Belton Park Military Hospital, Lincolnshire.
