Born at Tydd St. Mary, Lincolnshire. Son of Alfred William and Martha Elizabeth Briston, of Moor Wood, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. He enlisted at Bourne, Lincolnshire and was killed in action, 3rd October 1918, in the attack and capture of Ramicourt, France.
