Born and lived at Burbage, Derbyshire. Son of James and Ellen Brindley, of 35, Lime Terrace, Burbage. He enlisted at Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire and was killed in action, 19th August 1917, aged 20, whilst on reconnaissance at Houthulst Forest near Elverdinghe, Belgium.
