Born at Chasetown, Staffordshire and lived at Rugeley, Staffordshire. Son of Charles and Julia Brimble, of 69, Brereton Road, Rugeley. He enlisted at Buxton, Derbyshire and went to France on 31st August 1915. He was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 21, during the attack on the German positions near Ovillers, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
