Private George Cyril Brierley

Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Edwin and Jane Brierley, of 23, Highbury Avenue, Bulwell, Nottingham. He was a credit draper’s traveller prior to enlisting 11th December 1915 at Nottingham. He went to France 14th July 1916 and was killed in action, 20th September 1917, aged 21, in the attack on Bulgar Wood, near Ypres, Belgium.
