Born and lived at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of Mary A.J. Bridgewood. He enlisted at Longton. Went to France on 14th June 1916 and was Killed in action on 5th July 1916 in support of the attack on the German positions at Fricourt/Fricourt Wood, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
