Born at Dudley, Worcestershire and lived at Weston-Super-Mare,  Son of Samuel Alfred and Elizabeth Bridgwater, of 65, Clifton Road, Weston-Super-Mare; Husband of Louise Bridgwater, of 80 Middlewood Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield.  He was posted to the 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 18th June 1915 and joined the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. during early 1916. He was killed in action, 30th March 1916, aged 42. whilst in the line near Fauquissart section, near Estaires, France.
