British War and Victory MedalBorn at Hasland, Derbyshire and lived at Grassmoor, Chesterfield. Son of  Edward and Mary Bridgett, of 43, Main Road, Grassmoor, Chesterfield. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 7th February 1916 at Chesterfield. He went to France on 17rth October 1918  and died of wounds, 5th November 1918, aged 22, at 55 Casualty Clearing Station, Premont, France.
