Battalion : 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Dronfield, Derbyshire. Son of George and Nora E. Bridges, of Dronfield Woodhouse. Husband of Lavinia Bridges. He was a coal miner at Avenue Colliery Clay Cross prior to enlisting at Chesterfield, on 8th March 1915. He went to France on 10th January 1916 and was killed in action, on 25th November 1916, whilst serving in the line near Arras, France.
