British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Tillington, Petworth, Sussex. Son of James and Elizabeth Bridger, of Yew Tree Cottage, River, Tillington. He was a baker prior to enlisting at Aldershot, Hampshire. He went to France 30th August 1915  and was later transferred to the 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was killed in action, 24th October 1918, aged 27, in the attack near Fontaine au Bois, France.
