Born in Nottingham and lived at Hyson Green, Nottingham. Son of Harriett Bridge, of Walls Green Ashford in the Water, Derbyshire. Brother of Mr F. Bridge, of 7, Hazelwood Road, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was a baker prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 1st August 1916, during a raid on the German trenches at Givenchy, France.
