Born and lived at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Son of Edward and Hannah Jane Brewin, of 66, Trinity Street, Southolme, Gainsborough. He was a tinner in a general engineers factory prior to enlisting at Lincoln. He was Killed in action, 21st March 1918, aged 23, whilst holding the line near Sorrell Wood/Longeuval, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
