Private Harry Breedon

Born at Wollaton, Nottingham. and lived at Radford, Nottingham. Son of Alfred and Mary Breedon, of 335, Denman Street, Radford, Nottingham. He was a grocer’s assistant prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France on 18th August 1915 and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 20, in the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
