Born and lived at Clay Cross, Derbyshire. Son of William Henry and Elizabeth Breedon, of Brassington Street, Clay Cross. He was a shop assistant prior to enlisting at Clay Cross. He was killed in action, 21st March 1918, aged 23, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
