Private Bert Emanuel Brealey

Battalion: 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived in Birmingham. Son of Arthur and Ellen Brealey, of 3/127, New John Street, West Hockley, Birmingham. he was a woodworking machinist prior to enlisting 15th October 1916 into a training reserve battalion.  He was transferred to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and went to France on 3rd April 1918. He was killed in action, 21st April 1918, age 19, while in the line near Aveluy Wood, France.
