Born in Swansea, Wales and lived at Creswell, Derbyshire. Son of John and Elizabeth Brannon, of Elmton Road, Creswell. He was a milkman prior to enlisting at Creswell. He was killed in action, 27th September 1917, aged 22, whilst serving in the line near Vlamertinghe, Belgium.
