Born at Wittersham, Kent. Son of William George and Minnie Brann, of 13, Kent Road, Reading. He was a domestic gardener prior to enlisting at Crich, Derbyshire. He went to France 1st March 1915 and was killed in action, 5th March 1917, aged 29, when the Germans raided the trenches near the Essarts – Hannescamps Road, France.
