Private James Braniff

Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Shankill, Couty Antrim. Son of Thomas K. Braniff, of 63, High Street, Holywood, County Down. he enlisted at Belfast and was killed in action, 10th October 1916, aged 17, in the attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, near Thiepval, France,  during the Battle of the Somme.
