Born and lived at Chapel-En-Le-Frith, Derbyshire. Son of Peter and Susannah Bramwell, of Danes House, Market Place, Chapel-En-Le-Frith, Derbyshire. He was a stone mason prior to enlisting at Chapel-En-Le-Frith, 1st September 1914. He went to France on 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 19th May 1915, aged 34, whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
