Private Herbert Brammer

Battalion: 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived in Sheffield, Yorkshire. Son of Herbert and Mary Ann Brammer, of 25 Caernarvon Street, Upperthorpe, Sheffield. He was a spring knife cutter prior to enlisting on 7th November 1915 at Sheffield. He went to France on 15th May 1917 and was transferred to the 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 10th June 1917. He was killed in action, 30th July 1917, in the attack at Steenbeeke, near Ypres, Belgium.
