He was born and lived at North Wheatley, Nottinghamshire. Son of William and Mary Elizabeth Brammar, of North Wheatley, husband of Annie Brammar. He enlisted at Retford, Nottinghamshire, and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, during the attack on the German positions near Ovillers, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
