Born and lived at Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Edwin and Elizabeth Bramley, of 75 Eastfield Side, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Husband of Edith Bramley. He was a hosiery factory hand prior to enlisting at Mansfield.  He was transferred to the Labour Corps 116620 and died of wounds, 6th November 1918.
