Sergeant Joseph Richard Bramer

Battalion: 2/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Retford, Nottinghamshire. Son of Joseph William and Lucy Calow (formerly Bramer), of “Sunnydene”, Portland Street, Clowne, Derbyshire. He was a grocer’s assistant prior to enlisting at Clowne. Killed in action, 21st March 1918, aged 25, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
