Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Danesmoor, Derbyshire and lived at Clay Cross, Derbyshire. Son of George Henry and Maria Brailsford, of 3 Park Street, Clay Cross. He was a coal sorter prior to enlisting on 28th May 1916. He went to France on 27th August 1917 and was killed in action, on 22nd September 1917, in the attack on Bulgar Wood, Near Ypres, Belgium.
