Battalion : 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Brampton, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Son of William and Mary Brady, of 12, Shaws Row, Brampton. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 22nd February 1915 at Chesterfield. He went to France on 4th March 1916 and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
