Born at Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire. Son of William Bradwell, of Bradwell, Derbyshire. Husband of Violet Elizabeth, of Slack Lane, Peak Dale, Derbyshire. He was a limestone quarry labourer prior to enlisting 27th November 1915 at Buxton, Derbyshire. He went to France 24th October 1917 and was killed in action, 19th March 1918, during the German shelling of the trenches near Favreuil, France.
