Born at Thorner, Yorkshire and lived at “Linton” Borobridge Road, Knaresborough Yorkshire. Son of George and Martha Bradley, of Cliffe House, Kearby, Wetherby, Yorkshire. He was a butcher prior to enlisting 31st August 1916 at Harrogate, Yorkshire. He went to France 18th September 1917. Was transferred to the 7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 30th March 1918 and was reported missing 15th April 1918. He died 24th October 1918, aged 20, whilst a prisoner of war in Germany.
