British War and Victory MedalBorn at Clowne, Derbyshire and lived at South Elmsall, Yorkshire. Husband of Mary Bradder, of 237, Valley Street, South Elmsall. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 20th May 1915 at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He went to France on 6th March 1916, was appointed Lance Corporal, 15th May 1916 and was killed in action, 10th October 1916, age 31, in the attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, near Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
