Son of Thomas and Melody Bowskill, of 3 Vallances Square, Nottingham Road, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Mansfield. He was killed in action, 29th April 1917, whilst serving in the trenches near Templeux, France.
