Battalion: 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Heage, Derbyshire. Son of Philip Bowmer, of “The Black Horse Inn”, Heage. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 29th February 1915 at Derby. He went to France 13th January 1917 and was killed in action, 15th May 1917, whilst in the line near Bully Grenay, France.
Buried : Maroc British Cemetery, Grenay, France. Plot 2. Row O. Grave 14.
