British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Heage, Derbyshire. Son of Philip Bowmer, of “The Black Horse Inn”, Heage. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 29th February 1915 at Derby. He went to France 13th January 1917 and was killed in action, 15th May 1917, whilst in the line near Bully Grenay, France.
