Battalion: 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Gotham, Nottinghamshire. Son of Nathan and Elizabeth Bowley, of  Church Square, Gotham. He was a waggoner in a plaster mine prior to enlisting at West Bridgford, Nottingham. He was killed in action, 26th September 1917, in the attack at Wieltje, near Ypres, Belgium.
