Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Stapleford, Nottinghamshire. Son of William and Florence Bowley, of 7, Church Street, Stapleford. He was a clothiers shop assistant prior to enlisting 30th November 1915 at Derby. He went to France 14th September 1916 and was killed in action, 7th June 1917, in the attack at Hill 60, near Ypres, Belgium.
