Born at Manchester. Son of Samuel Bowden, Husband of Jessie Bowden, of 5, St. Cuthberts Road, Carlton Road, Nottingham. He was a railway clerk. Prior to enlisting at Nottingham. Killed in action, 9th September 1917, age 30. during a raid on the German line near Bug Alley. Loos, France.
