Battalion: 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Cotmanhay, Derbyshire and lived at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Son of John and Elizabeth Mary Bostock, of 32, Belvoir Street, Ilkeston. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Derby. Was attached to the 16th Battalion Manchester Regiment and was killed in action, 30th July 1916, Camps en Amienois, France. 

Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
