Born at Horncastle and lived at Lincoln. Son of John and Mary Boothby, of 14, Sherbrooke Street, Monks Road, Lincoln. He was a carter prior to enlisting at Newark, Nottinghamshire. He died of wounds, 13th August 1918, aged 29.
