Born and lived at Beeston, Nottingham. Son of William And Elizabeth Booth, of 59 Wollaton Road, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. He was a card puncher prior to enlisting on 31st August 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France on 17th February 1915 and was killed in action, on 11th March 1915 during the Battle of Neuve Chapelle, France.
