Born and lived at Compstall, Cheshire. .Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Booth. He was a butcher’s assistant prior to enlisting at Buxton, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, 29th March 1918, aged 22, whilst in the line at Bouzincourt, France.
