Born at Nottingham. Son of John and Annie Booth, of 14, Sheridan Street, Southwell Road, Nottingham. He was a porter for the Great Northern Railway prior to enlistment at Nottingham. He went to France 4th November 1914 and was killed in action, 12th March 1915, age 23, during the counter attack by the Germans at Neuve Chapelle, France.
