Battalion : 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Nottingham, Son of George and Priscilla Booth of 14, Bateman Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was a coal miner at Wollaton Coal Company prior to enlisting on 11th May 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France on 28th July 1915. He was killed in action on 31st July 1915, during a German attack at Sanctuary Wood, near Ypres, Belgium.
