Born and lived at Holmesfield, Derbyshire. Son of William and Anna Booker, of The Post Office, Holmesfield. He was an assistant woodman on the Duke of Rutland’s estate prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He was killed in action, 21st March 1918, aged 23, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
