British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Heage, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Hannah Bonsall, of Belle View Road, Heage, Derbyshire. Husband of Mary Emma Bonsall. He enlisted at Derby and served in Gallipoli with the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, during 1915. He was later transferred to the 2/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and was killed in action, 26th September 1917, age 40, at Otto Fram near Gravenstafel, Belgium.
