Battalion : 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Temple Bruer, Lincolnshire and lived at Brant Broughton, Lincolnshire. Son of John and Elizabeth Bonner, of Brant Broughton, Lincolnshire. He was a labourer prior to enlisting 25th March 1911 at Newark. He went to France 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action, 24th April 1915, age 28, by a German shell, whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
